Prayer Point
Pray that people would respond to God’s call to lead and serve in the church.
The Holy Spirit has been given to every believer, in part, to give us gifts to serve the common good of the church body. Today we will pray through 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, which shows God's heart to empower us for the sake of the church. Read the text aloud. Then use the reflection and prayer questions below to guide your prayers through this passage.
1 Corinthians 12:4–7
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (ESV)

- Reflect: What kinds of spiritual gifts have you seen on display in your church family? What gift and role has God given to you? Would others be able to see it?
- Pray: Thank God for giving you gifts. Ask God to help you live a spirit-empowered life of service.
- Reflect: Is there someone you know who is hesitant to embrace their gifting or a role of service or leadership at Enon?
- Pray: Ask God to bring to mind specific people who may need encouragement in their gifting. Pray for boldness to share an encouraging word to at least one person.
