Day 15

Prayer Point

Pray that we would go deep with God in his word and prayer.

We live in a performative culture, and if we are not careful, that mindset can shape our spirituality as well. Do we know God only in public, or do we walk with Him in a personal and intimate relationship? With this in mind, we will let Matthew 6:6 guide our prayer time today. Read the passage aloud, then allow the prompts below to direct your time of prayer.
Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (ESV)
Reflect: Do you have a thriving private prayer life? Or do your prayers mainly consist of prayer in front of or alongside others?
Pray: Ask God to increase your desire to commune with him in secret.

Reflect: How should we expect to be rewarded for a life of private prayer?
Pray: Ask God to reward you with more of His presence in your life as you pray. Pray for Jesus to bless you with more peace, purpose, and joy as you commune with Him.
